Petrogas’ Eindhoven branch has approached us to work on the Ecluse project. They want to create a network of steam and condensate pipes between Indaver/SLECO’s thermal processing systems and a number of companies in Antwerp’s Waaslandhaven port area. Being connected to this network will enable these companies to use the heating only as and when they need it. The pipes will be over 5 kilometres long and be laid partly above ground and partly under ground.
Most of the consumers of eco-friendly heat in the Waaslandhaven port area are companies that operate in the chemical industry.
The Ecluse steam network will be built by the Dutch consortium AHP, which is made up of A. Hak and Petrogas, both reputable companies that develop projects all over the world. Staalstraal Brabant recently landed the order for preservation, and we have meanwhile started abrasive blasting work on the inside and outside of these pipes.
On a recent visit to our site, a Petrogas delegation was very impressed with the possibilities we can offer for this kind of project.
This job is yet another opportunity for us to show what we are good at: flexible anticipation of our customer’s needs, and high-quality processing of large volumes in a short time span.
